Securing a VMware infrastructure

Hypervisors are prime targets for attackers : considering their compromise can provide access to all hosted data and workloads. This document aims to provide guidance on how to secure virtualised infrastructures based on VMware technology. These recommendations should be considered and adapted on a case-by-case basis, depending on the operational context of the infrastructure, the nature of the services it supports, and their criticality. This document focuses on the most important recommendations, and does not seek to be exhaustive or provide a high level of detail.
