Présentation
ANSSI and French Tech Mission publish a cybersecurity guideline specifically addressed to digital start-ups.
This guide seeks to raises awareness within the start-up ecosystem of the need to consider cybersecurity as a strategic pillar, to place trust at the core of their development, and to flag robustness as a label of audacity.
The document is a travel companion for founders, CTO and teams that want to build robust companies, without sacrifying their agility : clear principles, concrete reflex, activable tools to secure infrastructures, protect data and establish a vigilance culture. It also targets business incubators which want to integrate cybersecurity in their offers.
This guide shows how the missions of ANSSI and the French Tech Mission converge, by targeting the start-up ecosystem, often having small numbers of employees, limited resources and that have not yet fully developed their digital security skills.
The guide starts by illustrating the typical journey of a digital start-up. Thirteen security issues are highlighted, linked to key stages in the life of the company. Each issue is then presented in a summary sheet listing the risks and proposing suitable solutions.
At the end of the document, most important support entities are referenced.
This guide sets out measures that should be taken by all digital players. However, it is intended in particular for start-ups developing software products, not those that provide intellectual services.
